Upon finishing your three years of training and experience the power of Permanente Medicine, you’ll be well-prepared to pass the ABIM Internal Medicine Board Certification Examination and start a career which leverages your comprehensive internal medicine training.

Every resident advances through a competency-based education and evaluation program that emphasizes primary care. Our curriculum focuses on ambulatory aspects of internal medicine, including all major subspecialties. Your mentors are highly regarded physicians of Hawaii Permanente Medical Group and others on our health care team, in partnership with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.
